The ignorance of humans continues to astound me

I wish Americans (specifically those whose NFL podcasts I listen to) wouldn't talk about football (our football, mind) like they know what they're on about.

It's hugely frustrating that they assume that if they took the top athletes from their sports and trained them for "a couple of years" they think they COULD WIN THE WORLD CUP. I wouldn't be ignorant enough to speak about American Football like I know a lot about it, and I spend every waking minute thinking about it, as I have done for the last five years or so. So for them to presume that, since they have fast and strong athletes, they'd instantly DOMINATE at a completely foreign sport? Please, PLEASE catch yourselves on.

Players like Xavi and Paul Scholes illustrate that success in football has NOTHING to do with physical prowess, and has everything to do with understanding what's going on around you, and deciphering it better than the players you share the pitch with. And these guys would be ignorant enough to think that, with a "couple of years'" training, they could POSSIBLY understand the nuances of the game?

JESUS CHRIST, THESE PRICKS CAN'T EVEN PRONOUNCE THE NAME PROPERLY!! SOKKAR? FUCK YOURSELF!

I couldn't respect NFL players more, they're arguably the most gifted athletes in the world, and a huge part of the reason NFL has probably overtaken football as my favourite sport.

But this assertion has nothing to do with gauging an athlete's abilities, but rather the American assumption that  since they are "the land of the brave and the home of the free (SERIOUSLY?? THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN??)", they can auto automatically overtake ANYONE in ANYTHING they want to.

I wonder do they realise that they've played football for a few years now, and in spite of the fact that they were building a decent reputation for themselves for a few years, they've never challenged the elite.

The especially rankling notion for me is that a "couple of years" would be sufficient. Several European footballing powerhouses recently restructured their footballing infrastructure, Germany being the most notable example. And ten years later, they reached the semi final of the second most important international competition. But the USA could DEFINITELY do it in 2-3 years.

There's a difference between having talented athletes and having masters of a sport. Unfortunately, the American mindset has no comprehension of this notion, and is too wrapped up in delusions of superiority.

PS, DAVID BECKHAM WAS JUST REFERRED TO AS A US SOCCER PLAYER. IGNORE EVERYTHING I'VE PUT FORWARD IN A LOGICAL MANNER, AND JUST GET FUCKED OFF AT THESE PRICKS.
